I’ve Been There Before

By: Randy Lee Tredway / Wednesday, September 8, 2004

I want you to know – what I felt today

Came in such a shocking way

I didn’t expect you to close that door

But I need you to know, I’ve been here before

I’ve been there before

I’ve felt all the pain

All of the good times

The wild and the tame

I’ve held it all in

`till my heart was sore

I’m well rehearsed

I’ve been there before

I have a enough practice to be a pro

And I can do distance, though I hate it so

But if you need some space, I’ll give you more

I can’t forget that I’ve been here before

I’ve been there before

I’ve felt all the pain

All of the good times

The wild and the tame

I’ve held it all in

`till my heart was sore

I’m well rehearsed

I’ve been there before

I know you feel crowded, from the signals you sent

As one love is ending and another begins

With hope for the future, I tally the score

And we head for tomorrow, I’ve been here before

I’ve been there before

I’ve felt all the pain

All of the good times

The wild and the tame

I’ve held it all in

`till my heart was sore

I’m well rehearsed

I’ve been there before
