We loved so hard – we gave
it all
Made love from our
spirits – we had a ball
We hoped and dreamed – we
planned but then balked
Got hung at the
crossroads of silence and thought
We traveled and shared –
gave all that we had
The worst of our times –
didn’t seem so bad
The bond that we shared –
couldn’t be bought
But then came the mixture
of silence and thought
When we were together –
it was the best
With distance involved –
then came the test
It brought out emotions -
We never sought
Couldn’t get past the silence
and thought
We loved our closeness –
right from the start
Holding on to the old
though - Set us apart
The rich love we shared –
the things that we taught
But independence
prevailed in silence & thought
